Service Description

I bring nearly a decade of experience in nurturing writers across all genres and experience levels, with a special focus on those looking to self-publish. My approach to editing identifies a work's strengths, assesses the author's intent for that work, and directs authors to key areas where gaps, disorganization, and structure might be built upon and improved to produce a higher quality piece ready for publication. I help make a piece of writing more itself, not impose my own reading preferences and judgments on a manuscript they aren't relevant to. Pricing varies based on manuscript length and project complexity. Self-publishing manuscript formatting, preparation, and original cataloging (so that libraries can easily add your book to their collections) are additional services. These rates are estimates, and depend on the demands of your project. 0-2000 words: $0.07 / word, $50 minimum project fee. 2000-12000 words: $0.06 / word 12000-50000 word: $0.05 / word Intake consultation of $50 will be subtracted from your project fee if you decide to work with me.
